Also, apparently slept entirely through Monday. Huh.

Ah, well, like anyone cares about Monday, anyway.

Will try to respond to comments, even though I don't seem to be fully-functioning as yet.

Ah. That would be because it is not quite 4:30 am.

*mutters about stupid computers*

I mean, I love having a computer of my own, I just hate that it felt the need to restart by itself at 3:30, thus waking me out of REM sleep, which always gives me a horrible headache.

Anyway, I deleted Kaaza this morning because it inspires my computer to go into fuckin' safe mode, thus requiring an hour of coaxing back into being normal.

*pets poor, put-upon computer*

You have to re-login to all the places that you had on permanent login.

Ah, the joy of trying to remember what you thought was the best password ever.

Oooo. Actually, it is. For me, anyway.

So, I've decided not to say "damn" anymore. Unsurprising, this has led to a high increase in the use of the word "fuck".

Did somebody just anonymously give me a month of paid-lj-time? Because all of a sudden, I have it.

It's nice to have it again, don't get me wrong.

But if someone did get it for me, I'd like to thank them properly.

Ah, well, improper thanks is better than no thanks at all:

Thank you, LJ-fairy!

I'll just be... adding 4 more icons. Whee!

Icons!

Brought back three old favorites:

And I imported the one I'm using for this post from my poor, neglected NaNoWriMo journal.

How is it that no one mentioned that The Sentinel was filmed in Canada?

I mean, Canada! Home of due South! Home of my newest God, Paul Gross! Home of Smallville! Home of some of the slashiest shows ever created! And apparently this would include The Sentinel.

I mean, Canada is obviously the Land of the Poorly-Hidden Gay. Man, I wish I lived there.

I mean... Dude. Canada. I would have have been all over finding out about The Sentinel if I'd known it was filmed in Canada.

Generally, this would not be the case, but this year, it is.

Let's hope that this Christmas Buffy is better than Amends.

And dude! The First! Hello! So obvious! Dude!

Also! Poor Xander! In the snow! (That would all be about Amends. To clear up any possible confusion.)

Ah. The Sentinel would be the place where this thing called... smarm exists.

*blinks*

*makes "what-the-hell?" gestures*

I had heard of this thing called smarm but had never experienced it.

Dude. It's...

I don't even have words.

The last episode of due South ends with Stan Rogers singing The Northwest Passage. This is extremely important. As far as I can recall, the final part of Call of the Wild is the only episode that doesn't end with the theme song to due South.

And this makes complete sense, because it's not true any more. Benton Fraser isn't 'due South' any more. And thus, Call of the Wild isn't about the end of the series but about a beginning.

"Ah, for just one time, I would take the Northwest Passage to find the Hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea; tracing one warm line through a land so wide and savage, and make a Northwest Passage to the sea."

Anyway, just another small thing that makes me realize just how perfect the ending to the show is.

Man, I get so hyped when a new Buffy is just hours away.

I'll be watching it at 4:30ish tomorrow with my dad and my brother! Yay!

I'd like to remind everyone that spoiling is not a nice thing to do and that it's very easy to avoid by using cut tags.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, as Pa Kent would say.

Occasionally, you read something about how reading implicit sex into men's friendships isn't a good thing because just because guys are close does not mean that they are fucking. (and we don't want to assume that it does)

To them, I say that I do the same to women and to men and women together. What I do with Buffy/Xander is not far off from what I plan to do with Fraser/Kowalski. In fact, there might be more canon evidence for F/K. "Do you think I'm attractive?" The whole identity crisis Ray faces with Ray's return and the fact that Fraser is what he stresses over. They've both had mouth-to-mouth life saving gestures but at least F/K's took place with both parties conscious and fully alive.

Anyway, that would be my place in the whole issue of possibly over-eroticizing (is that a word?) homo-social relationships: I do the same to hetero-social relationships.

Hee!

I love that girl so fucking much.

Okay, this is the situation:

I am a huge wimp. I do not know how to say, "You're nice but honestly, we have nothing in common. Please stop with the incessant calling." At least, not in a nice way.

I mean. At least once a day. And I've returned one of his calls. One! One single solitary call! Yet he keeps calling!

Mom and Kris think that I need to just tell him flat-out. But... I just don't have the words.
