How is it that no one mentioned that The Sentinel was filmed in Canada?

I mean, Canada! Home of due South! Home of my newest God, Paul Gross! Home of Smallville! Home of some of the slashiest shows ever created! And apparently this would include The Sentinel.

I mean, Canada is obviously the Land of the Poorly-Hidden Gay. Man, I wish I lived there.

I mean... Dude. Canada. I would have have been all over finding out about The Sentinel if I'd known it was filmed in Canada.

Yep. Filmed in Vancouver. Same place as Stargate SG-1.

The sad thing is, when you start to recognize the places they are shooting because so many shows have used them.

My favorite one of those

I remember suddenly realizing that Nick Knight and Duncan MacLeod had the same apartment...

Forever Knight and Highlander! I've never seen those!

Dude, is everything made in Canada?

Quite a lot actually. It turns out Vancounver can pass for most North American cities, and has low overhead and a city government that is tv-production freindly. It's cheaper for a lot of syndicated shows to film in Canada.

The Sentinel is like Due Southed's gayer, much more badly written cousin! I mean, you have:

the two cop partners

one of the cops is a liason and seemingly from a different world and tells stories about far off places and peoples and is a babe magnet

Babe Of The Weeks show up every few episodes, but then are never really heard from again

ex-wife of regular cop guy is ALSO in the criminal justice buisness and shows up every once and a while (Jim's ex-wife Carolyn and Ray's Stella)

ends with it LOOKING like the two main guys are parted forever, but then one of them throws aside his entire lifestyle to be able to spend extended time with the other man

and I only say gayer because of the whole, "They moved in which each other after about the fourth episode and are all domestic and are really touchy-touchy and then there's the mystical bond and Blair had been looking for Jim all!his!life! and the whole bringing-back-from-point-of-death thing"

Because Due South IS very much with the gayness. It is.

Ah! The Sentinel is due South's more obvious cousin. Like the difference between Fraser and Turnbull.

Yeah, except

Yeah, except Frasier and Kowalski have much better chemistry.
