My plane from Seattle started an hour late but only arrived a half hour late. I was sitting next to a mechanic who works on that airline and he was very informative. Also, cute.

VividCon starts tomorrow, but I did go ahead and pick up my registration packet tonight. Yay! Saw [livejournal.com profile] killabeez in the meeting area, but was too shy to say hi as she has said nice things about one of my vids (Someone Else's Prayer).

And now for something completely different:
I've seen Red Dwarf series five. Rimmer was half-nude in two episodes. It was joy. He's very nice under those uniforms (and in one episode, there was oil!). Also, I'm in love with his tongue thing (which reminds me of Fraser's tongue thing (due South)). Slow, thoughtful lip-licking is a Good Thing, I feel.

Currently, I am alone in the room, as [livejournal.com profile] _par_avion has arrived but left to grab food before I got here. I'm currently trying to decide if I want to go buy food.

So, I've been watching Red Dwarf (thanks to [livejournal.com profile] rathanylakan). I'm currently checking out the bonus disk of Series III. And there are excerpts of the actor who plays Rimmer (Chris Barrie) doing an audiobook version. And... dude, he is so good! He captures the accents and emotions of the other characters wonderfully, has a great general 'narration' voice and just has a nice voice, period. Pretty and expressive and... yeah.

May be a little bit in love.

1. I dislike calling in sick to work. Correction: I dislike disappointing people. But I've been coughing for the last two days (which were my days off) and I sound like I've spent the last forty years smoking, so really, drive-through is kinda out. Plus, the horrid cough just might put people off their food.

2. VividCon-ish people that I am rooming with ([livejournal.com profile] _par_avion and [livejournal.com profile] annavtree), you should probably know that [livejournal.com profile] greensilver (who was a last-minute addition from the wait list and yay for her!) asked her flist for room-age 18th-20th and I offered. I've had her on my flist ages, wonderful person, great sense of humor. SG-1 fan.

3. I have seen the first series (and part of the second) of Red Dwarf. And was exceedingly amused and (at points) pretty touched. Because it's very silly, but Lister has a pretty good heart. He and Rimmer become closer over time, yeah? Because you can really see him feeling empathy for Rimmer, who starts out as a very shallow, petty, and insecure person (with a really nice ass).

4. For the last few days, my internet access has been very limited, hence my only posting story bits, which I deemed of vital importance. Now that I'm back on as normal, I expect my usual style to resume.

5. Stargate's new seasons start next week! Isn't that fabulous? It is. Very much. And I'm really looking forward to seeing the second season of Battlestar Galatica.

6. Have recently discovered that Ewan McGregor is the only actor that I've gone to a film for. I've always had additional reasons in other cases. But with Ewan, he just needs to be in a movie and I'll decide it's worth seeing.

7. I think that I may go back to sleep now.
