The theme for this week's [livejournal.com profile] sunday100 happens to be "good-bye", in honor of Buffy.

Again, too late to be posted in the challenge postings. The challenge was to have someone(s) watching someone(s) else. The other person(s) can or can't know he/she/they are being watched. And this would be my first due South fic ever. Exactly 100 words.

Black and Gold

I caught this morning morning's minion...

Though he might not have believed it anymore, she does have a moral compass. She knows right from wrong.

She just doesn't care. Not when it comes to passion or survival.

Or pride.

Before this moment, she'd have said that Ben would never forget her. She'd never considered any other possibility.

But there were candles in window and they weren't for her.

Victoria edged closer to the window, absently mouthing the familiar words.

Fall, gall themselves, and gash gold-vermillion.

There were candles in the window and Ben wasn't alone.

That had to be fixed.

Set after Storyteller.

The Idiot Box

He'd asked for the tape yesterday. Andrew had given it to him easily enough, even hooked everything up so that he could watch it.

Then the boy had left, knowing for once when he wasn't needed.

Spike stared at the tv, stared at his face looking back.

He looked older than he remembered, which should be impossible. Maybe that was the soul's doing.

He looked lost. Looked so very old, and yet not at all wise. Just old and foolish, as he'd once been young and foolish.

He pressed play, watched himself posture at the camera.

He couldn't recognize himself.

As these two would be overdue for the challenges, I'm just going to post them here.

Written for the [livejournal.com profile] sunday100.
The Shelter

Anne securely bolted the doors before turning to the group of kids.

She tried to smile reassuringly, but she knew that she wasn't that good an actor. Thankfully, after the zombie cops thing, she'd invested in bars for the windows and doors. That might be the only thing that would save them while the sun was out.

That was assuming that the sun would come back. They couldn't stay in forever and eventually someone would have to face the dark.

It would probably be her. She couldn't send any of the kids outside now.

She had to keep them safe.

No spoilers, except for general early season seven stuff. Inspired by the [livejournal.com profile] sunday100 challenge. (but not posted there, since it has four parts)

I seem to have joined the [livejournal.com profile] wednesday100.
Potential

"I'm a what?" Lana Lang stared at the man in front of her in complete disbelief.

"You're a potential vampire slayer. You have to come with me to Sunnydale, California." The guy, Robert Jeeves or something, repeated. "It's very lucky for us that you haven't any family here. It's always difficult to explain these matters to the families."

"I'm a what?" Her mind was totally blank with shock. She was a what? And she was supposed to leave right now?

"Oh, dear." Roger Whatever sighed, taking off his glasses to rub at them. "This is going to take some time."

So, I joined [livejournal.com profile] sunday100, a BtVS/Ats drabble group.

Set during the summer, post-Becoming.

The Summer After

Xander caught his breath, waited for the pain to subside.

At least he'd gotten the vampire. One less for Willow and Oz to worry about.

Now he had to get the hell out of this alley before the smell of blood drew something nasty. Nastier.

If only Buffy...

But that was pointless to think about. Buffy was gone. Angel was... dead or gone.

It was stupid to waste time hoping that she'd come home. Giles would get that. Eventually.

Anyway, he had to concentrate on getting home. He had some bandages there.

He'd started buying them after he'd met Buffy.

Half of my current icons were made by People Not Me. This is practically a record, as I tend to make my own.

I've been thinking about doing the icon meme. But really, they're all self-evident.

I also thought about commenting on the French Fry thing. Only I can't even think about it without giggling.

So then, I thought I could try writing some more drabbles to get into characters' heads.
One Last Time. Xander/Anya. Spoilers for Storyteller. )

I have double-post fears. I don't like my posts to be right next to each other on my friends page.

I blame this on TWoP, who have put the fear of the spork in me.

Nonetheless, we must face our fears sometime.

[edit: Damn. Someone else posted. There goes that.]

Somehow, I managed to write JC/Justin for someone who asked for, like, something completely different. I fixed it, but for those interested:
