Drabble: The Shelter, Angel the Series

The Shelter
Anne securely bolted the doors before turning to the group of kids.
She tried to smile reassuringly, but she knew that she wasn't that good an actor. Thankfully, after the zombie cops thing, she'd invested in bars for the windows and doors. That might be the only thing that would save them while the sun was out.
That was assuming that the sun would come back. They couldn't stay in forever and eventually someone would have to face the dark.
It would probably be her. She couldn't send any of the kids outside now.
She had to keep them safe.
