Dawn has lost Joyce and Buffy and now apparently Tara and threat-of-Buffy all in little over a year. Poor kid.
On the Spike thing... of course Buffy wasn't asking for it or anything. *But* it does point out the problems of engaging in kinky twisted sex when you're not emotionally stable. Signals get blurred and crossed and while what Spike was trying to do absolutely would have been rape had he succeeded, and the fact that he didn't realize it at the time shows he's an idiot and more, it wasn't as obvious to him as it would have been had "no" not meant "yes" so often in their past.
It's his *fault* and not at all Buffy's. But her behavior made it require somewhat less stupidity on his part than it otherwise would have.
And again, I can see why Spike kept pushing. Dawn gave him hope that Buffy cared. Then Buffy said that she had feelings for him but couldn't love him. And he snapped.
Doesn't make it any less hateful, but I do understand the why of it.
i completely agree. i was so sad and cried like a little bitch. how can tara be dead and buffy still alive. i was finally happy that tv was letting some gay people finally have some happiness. i don't know how i feel about this... and the whole spike thing.. it was so freaked out by his rage.. and the scene kept going on for so damn long... bleh.. and i liked them together too. bleh... i dunno...
