It translated so well when I didn't have any context or idea about the characters or the relationships. It was heartbreaking and painful and so beautiful to watch that I had to order the series. It is one of my favourite videos of any fandom. (And I loved the shot of their feet dancing near the end moving perfectly with the music).
Again, thank you so much. I love that the vid spoke that strongly to you. And thanks for pointing out a favorite bit -- it's always great to know what sticks out most in memory.
And now that I've watched both seasons the video is even more emotional and heart wrenching. The separation of the Rose and the Doctor accompanied with the flashbacks to their shear joy with one another make me ache in a way no other video has managed. I admit to finding it much more difficult to watch now that I know their story (though it remains one of my most watched videos). Plus, the song fits so perfectly with these characters. It was an excellent choice.
I felt that way about the song just as soon as I heard it. It was perfect for them, especially in that first flush of emotion after the way the second season ended.
Again, I'm very thrilled that the vid touched you so deeply. Thank you for your comments.
