I've loved Dave and Tracy's music for years. I only got to see them perform three times before Dave's death, but each time was incredibly memorable. They started out adorable music dorks and got polished up along the way, but never lost that honest glow of love for the music.
I've wanted to vid them since I first learned what vidding was, but I could never find the right fandom. I was thrilled to bits by the recent LotR vids to their music, but that wasn't the right fandom for me to put them in. And then I saw The Dead Zone, and I found a home for one of my favorite songs in existence.
Thank you,
cesperanza, for getting me interested in the show. And many thanks for
_par_avion for her loan of her dvds of the show (and for hosting my vids on her site). I wouldn't have been able to do this if I'd been netflixing the show.

Date: 2005-11-04 03:29 am (UTC)It really is, and it's very well written on the show. And the progress that was made to have them turn from rivals to close friends was realistically done. It's very rare to see this relationship done justice in fan genres (such as fanfiction and vids) and you've done it perfectly. Kudos to you on your effort.
They're just really come to respect and know each other quite well, which is just neat.
It really is neat how they've come to the point they're at. Watching the first season again (which was inspired by your vid), it made me realize how far they'd come. Johnny was the competition to Walt, and he naturally didn't like and didn't trust Johnny. And now Walt trusts him implicitly, and they've become a family, even if it's somewhat awkward.
Dave Carter and Tracy Grammer made a wonderful team.
Apparently so. After I saw your video, I did a search on iTunes and bought some of their songs (this one especially). And I love acoustic music first and foremost. Some of their songs have a very country flair to them, but not oppressively so. Thanks for turning me onto them!
Thank you, again. It's a really great show.
It really is, and I hope to see it continue. The loss of Michael Piller is a big blow to the show, but I hope that they continue it.

Yes, the family vibe... the fact that when Sarah was naming them off as Johnny's family in the S3 finale, Walt was very much on the list, that's a reallly neat thing to me.

Glad to do it. They had a wonderful balance.

As do I. I've been very impressed by it.
