Movie: Superman Returns

I was hoping for quite a bit with this movie -- I wanted that sense of wonder and hope, I wanted the sense of caring, I wanted a bit of Superman's alien nature, I wanted Lois to be sparky and lovable, I wanted James Marden's character not to die, I wanted the kid to not be annoying, and, most of all, I wanted Superman.
