Personal: Update

So, for the past couple of months, I've been having a hell of a time getting my credit union to send me my new card. See, back in March, they sent me a nice, shiny new card, and I was happy.

Then they merged with another credit union, changed names, and decided that they needed to send people new cards.

And also that it would be a good and wise thing to turn off everyone's cards once the new ones 'should' have arrived. So, it's been two months and I finally (finally) have my new card up and running (in theory -- I called in and was told it was now activated, but I haven't had a chance to test it yet). I really was about two weeks from pulling my money out and going to a new CU. But now there is no need, which is nice, because I really prefer the path of least resistence when it comes to practical matters.

Also, I have dyed my hair red. No particular reason, just felt like it. It is now something of a light reddish-brown.

Also, I watched The Search for Spock the other day and remembered why it is my favorite Star Trek movie ever. The love! Is so strong! (And I really do prefer this movie's Saavik.)

Kirk: "If there is even a chance that Spock has an eternal soul, then it's my responsibility."
SF Commander Guy: "Yours?"
Kirk: "As surely as if it were my very own."

*sighs*

I love that movie.

ETA: I also appear to have added S1 of Boston Legal to my netflix queue. It may have been moved to the top, but I shall say no more.
