This show is not afraid. Wow, wow. First off, I see why George really needs to be with Nina -- he's going to need to be the counterbalance to the white-hot fury of Mitchell and Annie.

How powerful was Annie, saying that Owen took everything else and she won't let him take Mitchell and George from her? And saying, on seeing him rough up Janie a bit and push her out of the room, "That's the Owen I remember." Made me shiver.

We have Mitchell, coming to the conclusion that humans don't deserve to be emulated, that they can be just as monstrous. And the show, itself, willing to go all the way with how the neighbors behave. Also, I think the show went to a molten-hot place with Mitchell, tonight. He was gorgeous.

And having him turn Bernie -- a fulfillment, in some ways, of what Herrick is talking about in the pilot, about strategic conversion, about how if he went up to the children's ward, he bets no parent will say 'no'.

I love this show. I think it's currently the best show airing (possible Sarah Connor tie).

I agree with everything you said. I thought this last ep was pretty much the best ep of the series so far. Too bad there's only 6 episodes. Hopefully we get a 2nd series.

I'm really loving Mitchell/Annie a lot and I'm kind of hoping something happens with them. She deserves somebody decent. Owen is so crazy and I hope he gets what he deserves before the show's over.

I would totally support this Annie and Mitchell getting together. They're really adorable together and the actors have chemistry.

I'm also crossing my fingers for a second series.

This show really is good. I started watching it thinking it would be just a comedy, but it really is so much more than that. It actually reminds me of Joss Whedon's work. Comedy is there, yes, but it can be so dark and painful as well.

The last episode was so hard for me to watch, and yet so good (and the first I've watched on telly)I was so scared for them as a family.

Loved Georges little slip that he wasn't the perv, that was Mitchell!

I am so incredibly in love with this show, I cannot even tell you. And yeah, the best part is that it really, really is not afraid. Of ANYTHING. Going dark, letting things end messily, fucking up people's happy endings... yeah. Like [livejournal.com profile] bastetseye said, it really does feel like a Whedon show.

Yes, I agree, this show has this little family at its core, but they aren't all fuzzy, and right now, two of them are going dark, with good reason too.

I was a little iffy on the show after episode 3, but episode 4 really brought it.

Funny thing--Mitchell is always pretty, but at the end when he was also evil? Man. Unfuckingbelievable. I call it Angelus Syndrome: hotness in direct proportion to evilness.

I have to admit the premise of this show sounds really ridiculous, but all the comments on it I'm seeing have me interested. Once I'm caught up on tv (and I've watched all of the brilliant things you uploaded for us!), I think I might have to download it.

Haven't seen Episode 4 but I do love this show. And Annie is the most awesome thing ever (And I love that she is played by my junior TV Girlfriend). I love George and Mitchell to bits (and am amused by the requisite Naked Russell Tovey).
