This show is not afraid. Wow, wow. First off, I see why George really needs to be with Nina -- he's going to need to be the counterbalance to the white-hot fury of Mitchell and Annie.
How powerful was Annie, saying that Owen took everything else and she won't let him take Mitchell and George from her? And saying, on seeing him rough up Janie a bit and push her out of the room, "That's the Owen I remember." Made me shiver.
We have Mitchell, coming to the conclusion that humans don't deserve to be emulated, that they can be just as monstrous. And the show, itself, willing to go all the way with how the neighbors behave. Also, I think the show went to a molten-hot place with Mitchell, tonight. He was gorgeous.
And having him turn Bernie -- a fulfillment, in some ways, of what Herrick is talking about in the pilot, about strategic conversion, about how if he went up to the children's ward, he bets no parent will say 'no'.
I love this show. I think it's currently the best show airing (possible Sarah Connor tie).
