Some random thoughts that I've had throughout today about the recent episode:
1. I can still do any of those painfully angsty DW vids that I had placed in suspended animation. Um... yay?
2. Mickey and Martha almost certainly being on Torchwood next season is completely made of win. Also, Tosh saved Gwen and Ianto from beyond the grave! Just wanted to mention that again.
3. Jackie and the New Doctor's relationship is going to be a hilarious and brilliant thing. I forsee much teasing of him in the future. I only wish we could see it.
4. While I understand fully why the Really Hot Kiss between Rose and the New Doctor was only in the Confidential (the original Doctor's heart is already being ripped out of his chest; there's no need to drop him in acid at the same time), wow, that was a really hot kiss.
5. Yep, Donna still breaks my heart. I haven't said too much about her ending because... it's straight-up tragedy with an edge of hope (because Donna is capable of being awesome without the Doctor but even if she is, she'll still never know exactly how awesome she was with him). Dramatically satisfying and very well-acted. It's painful and it fits perfectly and it makes me ache for her.
6. The original Doctor doing the emotional equivalent of carving out his own hearts with a rusty spoon is so painful to watch. He gives up his best mate and the love of his life all in one day. And this is after everyone else has walked away from him to rejoin their own families (found or otherwise). Of course, part of the reason they were all so easy about doing that is because they thought he still had Donna and Rose. As Donna would say, he's such a dunce. Oh, Doctor. So smart and yet so dumb.
ETA: Oh, yes, and Donna continued right through to the end to have exactly what the Doctor needed. The Time Lord couldn't think of how to stop the Daleks, but Time Lord knowledge combined with human gut instinct could. Oh, I will miss Donna so much.

Yes. I've still only watched the episode that one time. Too painful. :(

Well, if he's so determined to be miserable, at least Rose gets to be happy.
