I hate West (seriously, I now find his character so dislikable that he no longer gets to be known as a Petrelli, even a stalker one). Time after time in this episode, he disrespects Claire's boundaries and shows how little he respects her as a person. He harasses her out of the classroom and then, after she's told him the truth (very nearly crying), he tells her to 'shut up', which was the most offensive way to go about that. Hey, asshole, there's nothing wrong with saying, "It's okay," or "You're not alone," or "I'm a freak, too, Claire." And then, of course, she immediately forgives him for being an asshole, despite him not offering an apology of any kind, because she's just a girl, so of course he's allowed to humiliate her into sharing her secrets.

If the show were actively writing West to offend me, I doubt they could do a better job.

I'm ready for Maya and Alejandro to get a new storyline. This is their third week with the exact same one.

Adored Hiro's letters to Ando and was very disappointed that he didn't go home.

Syler and Candice/Michelle/'guess it doesn't matter what we call her anymore' had an interesting bit. Though I was disappointed at Syler being dumb -- it would have been smarter if he waited until he was healed up to conk C/M on the head. Don't kill the doctor if you're still sick. Don't kill the nurse if you can still barely stand up.

D.L. is dead, Micah is staying with Uhura, and Niki is apparently working for the new company (I hope she's undercover, like Mohinder). I'm quite upset about D.L. being dead -- more so than I was expecting.

Peter is having some cool things go on in Ireland, but... I'm kinda bored with his storyline, sadly. There are some great moments, but I'm ready for it to be over and him to come home.

Really, the only plotline that made me uncomplicatedly happy was Mohinder (spy!), Matt, and Molly, who are just intensely adorable.

Yep. He's horrid. I hope he gets gone soon (maybe goes over to the company or something, and Claire sees how much he sucks).

I really hope that Claire realizes what a sucky person he is. As it stands, it looks like the showrunners think that stalking, disrespecting boundaries, and generally being an ass is romantic.

I also hate West, and am going with the theory that we're supposed to hate West for some reason. I found that I had trouble paying attention to Maya and Alejandro. My Spanish is almost good enough to not need the subtitles, but not quite, so I'd look away and miss something. No risk of that with the Japanese, though, and Hiro is made of awesome.

I'm completely crushed about D.L. Totally and completely. I even dreamed about that last night, and have been making up wild theories to explain that he's not really dead.

I really hope that we're supposed to hate West. I don't want him to be what the writers think of as an acceptable person for Claire to be with in a relationship.

Hiro and Mohinder are both totally made of awesome.

I'd love it if he weren't really dead. I mean, Matt was shot four times, D.L. was shot once. If Matt can live, so can D.L.

See, I'm so conflicted on the West thing.
Because I'm really, really annoyed at him for all the stuff you mentioned, but ..but the hotness.

I hate being so shallow sometimes, Ugh.

On the note of shallowtasticness BUT MAYA IS STILL HOT AND SHE GOT TO BE USEFUL THIS TIME ROUND which was nice? That being said, yes, they need to hop the fucking border already and get on with it.

Poor, poor Hiro. I was happy he stayed, he's already lost one love. HIRO DESERVES LOVE. EVEN IF I WANNA SMACK YAEKO OR WHATEVER HER NAME IS FOR BEING SO FUCKING ANIMETASTIC, HIRO DESERVES LOVE.

I actually cheered when new!Candice died. I leapt up and cheered. I hated her. So. Much. Especially as I'd rather liked old!Candice.
SYLAR IS AWESOME. EVEN IF HE SERIOUSLY LACKS FORESIGHT. EASY ON THE EGO THERE, SYLAR.

D.L being dead SUCKS. I'd really grown to like him, much more than I ever had Niki. Although it never helped that the writers had her continually afflicted with a severe case of blonde. Meh.

Mohinder, Matt and Molly are ridiculously cute. So cute, my brains (quite without my willing it, thanks) turned them into a perfectly sweet little slashy family after this episode. Matt/Mohinder might actually become my new OTP for this series.

I'm hoping that we'll discover that West is evil. Because I now hate him and want him to die. I suspect that he's not supposed to be bad, though, and we're probably not supposed to be hating him. Your opinion is probably closer to what the writers want.

Mayo is hot. I just want her to do something new.

I do want Hiro to find love, but, on the other hand, he has love already, waiting at home -- my Japanese-speaking friend tells me so! The lack of an honorific when Ando speaks his name equals true gay love.

Sylar's ego will eat him whole.

*sigh* I'm quite sad that D.L. is dead.

And, yeah, Matt/Mohinder is such an adorable cute thing. And with Molly in there, I have hope that it will last, because the writers don't want to take away her family again, do they?

Seriously West, I hope he's someone we're supposed to dislike because I am really not liking that character. If it hadn't been for the class scene the "Shut up" might not have been so inappropriate, or if she had seemed more hysterical/overreacting rather than knowing *exactly* what would happen to her if things went badly.

Also, West is still not-Zach to me. Zach was awesome and sweet and a good friend to Claire and yes he wanted her to be okay with who she was but he didn't make a big deal out of it besides that. West is not a good friend for her, he's domineering and rude and this season mostly Claire is okay with who she is, she's hiding for a very different reason. Also, she doesn't have half the chemistry (romantic and more otherwise) with West that she had with Zach.

Also, I was really hoping Sylar would turn out to not have really killed Candice/Michelle, that it was part of the illusion and he'd turn around and she'd say "Got that out of your system?" Granted the way it happened actually moved the plot forward more than that would have, but still.

And yes, Maya and Alejandro's plot really needs to move forward. One treading water ep last week was enough thanks, two is pushing it, if there isn't something new next week...I don't know but I'll be really disappointed.

It doesn't make sense to me that once Candice was dead, her body is seen as it really is but her surrounding illusion remains the same. It doesn't make sense that is where they really are.

Is anyone else concerned about West-the-tracked-animal? Because as loathsome as West is, it's an interesting angle. Who tagged him? Mr. Bennett or creepy Company guy? If it was the Company, is he a willing subject or he being studied? Is he going to lead them to Claire?

West annoys me too. He acted like a complete dick the entire episode. Why the heck he didn't go up to her privately and say, "Listen, I'm sorry but I saw what I saw and I'm different too. Let me show you." I could take that and then you might be able to forgive him for being a stalker at some point...maybe. At this point however I doubt I'll change my mind about West.

Clearly the real reason the Wonder Twins are fleeing to America is to find there plot.

Sylar didn't really act the smartest. I'm curious that they seemed in the same place when C/M died and he didn't have bandages on. Strange that with her death, he can see the real her but he can't get out of the illusion. That's a pretty strong ability for Sylar to have, if he ever regains his ability to use his powers.

I knew D.L. was dead before I even saw the episode. I didn't care all that much about D.L., or at least I thought. I was surprised that I was upset as I was about his death. Poor Niki and Micah.

I thought they'd have him open the box. I hope they have something interesting happen to him next week because I really can't see much interesting happening now.

Mohinder, Matt and Molly are love. I have to agree with Matt that Mohinder is in a tough spot and Mohinder is finally realizing how tricky a spot he is in. Poor Mohinder! I never before would have put Matt and Mohinder together, but I'm starting to really enjoy them!

I...can't settle on an opinion of West. I know I should hate him, and I hate what he does, and yet, I just can't completely hate him yet. I'm not sure why.

And, WHY is DL dead? Did I miss something? This makes me unhappy because he was the best part of the Nikki/Jessica/Micah storyline.
