BRITNEY Spears' fans may not want to believe it, but it looks like we were right about her breaking up with Justin Timberlake. Saturday night, while Spears was in Italy at the San Remo Festival, telling MTV Italy they're still a couple, Timberlake hit Hollywood hotspot A.D. Not caring who noticed, he was "bumping and grinding" with a dark curly-haired beauty, our spy reports, noting, "I think Britney was the last thing on his mind." Bandmate Lance Bass, Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Christina Aguilera all watched from the sidelines. Spears' label, Jive Records, initially said it would release a statement on the relationship, but only issued a terse "no comment."

And of course, my first thought was, "Lance was with him!" And my second was, "Ooo. I wonder if anyone's thought of Christina/Drew."

You know, seriously, I think they very much care about each other. Justin's a lousy actor and a lousy liar. And he seems to genuinely mean all those things he says about how close they are. The part that always strikes me as false is when he tries to say how sexy she is.

I think, really, she wants him way more than he wants her, if he wants her that way at all. But, we shall see.

They probably do care about each other, but it just seems so unhealthy. Which is none of my business except for the fact they it's almost made our business by it being stuck in our faces. It is possible to be a celebrity and to be low-profile. I mean, no one really knows anything about Keanu Reeves.
