Not so squee.

Family stuff was bad tonight.

We don't get cable, so I went to dad's to record the VMAs.

And.

He was like I remember.

And I thought he'd... grown as a person.

Gotten past saying things like "Affirmative action has been making innocent people pay for forty years." and that my mom's a "psychopathic manipulator".

Oh, and that I'm a liar.

That part was said when I brought up some of the things that he's done in the past to hurt me.

Apparently, I made it all up.

Last things we said to each other, after I had Justin on tape and went to say good-bye to him.

Me: "I'm sorry that what I said hurt you."

Dad: "Not, you're not."

Me: "Yes. I am."

Dad: "No, you're not. Or you wouldn't have said it."

Me: "I didn't say that I was sorry that I said what I did. I'm just sorry that I hurt you."

Dad: "It's the same thing."

Me: "Good-bye."

Dad: [shuts door]

Sorry that he's apparently not changed his spots - it hurts the most when it's family, doesn't it? He's missing out on the good stuff (you) but I'm sorry you're hurting because of him.
