So, I was thinking about how some people have expressed... disappointment in the sheer blatentness of Christina's video.

And I realized, that while I don't have that feeling toward Chrissy, I do have feelings like that toward Britney.

Not the same way, of course. It's not about exposure, it's about her seeming lack of power.

I was thinking and my thoughts led me to when I started feeling disappointed in Brit.

And it was after Stronger. Stronger is the only Britney video that I really, really love. And the disappointment stems from when I realized that Britney is nothing like Stronger!Britney.

And I think that some people miss Reflection!Christina, or Genie!Christina or Girl!Christina. But Chrissy says that this is her.

And I believe her. Moulin Rouge. The Pussycat club thing. Everything about her from when she says she was allowed to start actually expressing herself says that this is who she is.

I downloaded the Dirrty video earlier, and have watched it a couple of times. I thought about saying something about it, but you've said pretty much *exactly* what I was thinking.

I do have a few problems with the video, but that is not due to it being sexual, just that there's too much going on at some points (same problem I have with the song).
Generally, I have an easier time accepting this behaviour from Christina because she admits that she knows what she's doing, and she seems to love this "Did you SEE what she did?" sort of attention. Britney seems uncomfortable, especially when asked about it. Christina seems to thrive when asked about it.

I'm going to stop now, because I could go on for a long time about this topic. But maybe I should use my own journal for that ;-)

Heh. I don't mind.

And yeah, the overproduction bugged me at moments, but the sheer 'look at me'ness was so Christina. And I like that about her. I like that she wears nearly nothing when she wants to. Britney does, as you said, seem to feel uncomfortable about it.

So, I find Chrissy sexier because she's more confident. She's all, "This is me and you can go fuck yourself if you don't like it."

okay, i officially love you. LOL i don't KNOW you but just, yes. that's exactly how i feel. i just stumbled across your journal tonight. anyway, that's exactly my definition of christina. "this is me, either like it or fuck off." yes. i'll leave you alone now lol
