butterflyMy dad gave me the first Andromeda DVD set (first five episodes over two discs) for my birthday. Am very pleased about this. There's an interesting interview with Kevin Sorbo where he manages to completely avoid being an ass, which is cool. He even mentions that he likes that Dylan is a flawed character. Am hoping that his commentary on Under the Night is interesting.
Watched Free Willie and Diefenbaker's Day Off (due South) with dad. I was also seeing them for the first time, so it was cool all around. I kept expecting Fraser Sr. to show up. When does his ghost first manifest? Fraser calling Vecchio struck me as both sweet and sad. Also, this would be when Fraser donned the Mountie mask. My own theory is that the reason that he doesn't act as clueless in the Pilot is 'cause he didn't know that he'd be staying in Chicago. So he didn't care.
Attack of the Clones was fun to see again. I told my dad all about my favorite non-existent subplot: the Secret Love of Obi-Wan and Padme.
Because of my truly remarkable ability to get lost, I never found Jo's house and we didn't hook up. But on the plus side, I did get to spend more time with my dad, and we talked without fighting at all.
