Hmmm... I mostly value good characters, good writing and snappy dialogue. Characters that I can love. Buffy/Angel/Firefly...are my current faves, though I will admit to watching some...ah...less stellar programming like BoP and Charmed....

It has amazing characters. They just... live. And some of the writing is just... wonderful. Fraser is so. Eeep! And some of the conversations that he has with his Rays are just... like poetry. Only, you know, dialogue-sounding.
