I'm apparently re-downloading Kaaza solely to have Superman's Song on my computer. After watching the dS pilot earlier, it's been in my head on and off all day.

After having seemingly exhausted the supply of Fraser/Kowalski stories on the net, I'm now debating about whether or not to read some Sentinel fic, despite the fact that I've never seen an episode and the pictures I've seen of Blair's hair scare me. I know the basic story behind the whole thing and I know that it was one of the gayest shows that ever gayed and that's about it.

I've read all of Speranza's dS fic several times and Francesca is (apparently) her Sentinel alter-ego, which means that the writing quality is tops and...

I really want to read new stuff. So, I think that I'll go ahead and read her Sentinel fic.

*mutters about slow download speeds*

I deleted Kaaza because it was annoying my ass right off. And now I'm willing to let it back into my computer.

The things that Ben Fraser inspires me to do.

Aww. Sentinel was so cute *adores* And Blair's hair wasn't scary :( I'd go for it. Best places, should you go for it, are Cascade Library (http://www.skeeter63.org/tslibrary/) and Guide Posts (http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Academy/5307/) It's been a while, but if I remember correctly, LRH Balzer's stories were nice and fluffy.

Coolness. Thanks for the recs.

And his hair is probably less scary in motion. Or on a tv screen. But at the moment, it's, like, the Hair of DOOM! to me.

Helen wrote Sentinel stuff! [go here and then to Search and look for Helen under author]

Paper Cranes and Fruit Of The Vine are a couple of the most popular stories in the fandom, from what I remember...

A Long Time Looking is one of my favorites.

Wine, Women, and Schlong cracks me up.

and, um. my favorite Sentinel sorta cheese soap opera can be found here -- A Million Pieces. not brilliance, but it sure entertained me way back when.

Okay. Question.

What is 'Senslash Fun'? Because that's an option under categories but they never explain it. And I'm confused.

Oh, those are the fics I usually ignore. I've read pretty much everything in the archive EXCEPT them. I usually think they don't count. ;)

It's like, when the lists were really really active, back when... Senslash list members had cutesy, jokey fics they'd post (sometimes with inside jokes). The fics are generally short and written in a quick dash.

They have an entire category for in-joke fics?

Dude... that's... I'm stuck between 'hilarious' 'truly, deeply, wrong'.

Just checked out of curiosity, and woah. 3770 Jim/Blair fics are posted at The Sentinel Adult Fiction Archive.

Damn, I've been out of that fandom for much too long. er. I think... 3 and a half seasons

The fourth season has only 8 episodes, bascially around to wrap up Season 3, because the fans were freaking out. See, Season 3 ended ["Sentinel, Too"] with Blair dead in a fountain after Jim kicked him out of the house and they had a big fight, ect. And Jim is all holding his body and freaking. er. DEPRESSING, much? And so the 4th Season opener ["Sentinel, Too, Part II"] pretty much worked like a denial fic. Jim brought Blair back from the other side, touching his body and finding Blair's spirit animal with his spirit animal. and. okay, that sounds nuts. But it works within the series. Trust me. heh.

The series ends ["The Sentinel, By Blair Sandburg"] with ANOTHER big fight, this time because Blair's paper on Sentinels gets leaked to the media. And so Blair gives up his academic career and gives a conference saying he faked it, and Jim invites him to be a real cop and his real partner. Theyaresoinlove. the end!

Then the SciFi channel airs the series every couple years... I watched the full run of it on the SciFi channel twice in '99. And I know it was playing again semi-recently.

oh! and I found it! Stupid thing is hidden. bitches!

screen caps from some "bloopers", in which the actors were kidding around on set (in three episodes, I believe) and held hands and kissed more than once. ahahahaah! My person observation from this evidence: they too think the characters are gayer than gay

I actually have said "bloopers" in video, but. er I don't know anywhere you can download them right now.

I tried using Kazaa but it didn't work on my computer so I use WinMX instead and it's pretty useful...except that I can't use WinMX at school because they have a stupid firewall on it.

blah.

With all your "due South" talk, I'm tempted to see what it's all about.

On and off. It was on TNT the last time it was on. Not that I saw it there, not having anything beyond basic. Which I'm cool with 'cause I get Buffy and that's my only true need there.
