Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] paraviondeux for lending space and to [livejournal.com profile] jic for advice and support.

That's really beautiful, Butterfly. :) I think you did a fantastic job of capturing Alma as a character.

Thank you.

It was really interesting trying to look at the movie from her perspective (especially since Jack is the character that I like the most). She's really very brave -- she's willing to say, "no, I'm not happy in this marriage" and do something about it.

Guh. That was just fabulous. Love the song choice, lighting effects, the editing... everything, really. :) You also managed to catch the feel of BBM, which I don't see too often in fanvids, so... rock on. :D

That's all so great to read, but especially this part. Thank you.

I still haven't seen BBM yet, though I bring knowledge of the story to the vid, and I thought this vid was really beautiful. I love how you visualized the thunder in the song - the flashes in the clips and the black and white and stills were perfectly done and added a lot of great emotion. You also made great use of a song very defined by its story, which is really difficult to do.

Thank you. It's really neat to know that the vid still works if you haven't seen the movie.

Thanks! I was quite proud of that.

This is a great vid. The metaphore of the thunder in Alma's life is interesting and well visualized. Most of all I like how you managed to keep the mood of the movie, the quiet sadness and the feeling of nature against people (that the movie gave me, I don't know how it felt to others.) I'd like to rec it, if that's okay with you. (unfortunately it takes me even linger to rec things than to watch vids. It's a complicated system of free Saturday afternoons...) ;-)

Thank you! I was so struck by the film's tagline -- Love is a force of nature. It just made me think about how, often, that's not a good thing, because that can be intensely destructive.

I'd love for you to rec it (I'm always flattered and thrilled when that happens).

Hi, just wanted to let you know that I saw this vid today at a fannish gathering in Perth, Western Australia. Everyone agreed that the story you told was very moving and the black & white and thunder sound effects were wonderfully done!

Thank you very much! That just thrills me to pieces. I'm so glad that you (and others!) liked it. Yay!
