Last night I watched the latest Buffy(LMPTM) and the Angel(Orpheus) that goes after it with my mom. Was very amused when she said that the acting and the quality of Buffy is 'so much better' than the same on Angel. My mom is the ultimate Casual Viewer. No emotional attachment to the shows at all.

Have rewatched Children of Dune so many times in the past week that I think my brain has fried from the twincest pretty. I really want to write a Leto/Ghani story, if only because there is a serious lack of any, anywhere. I think the fact that they're nine in the books put people off. Am very happy the miniseries corrected this. Because of the pretty.

On the useful side of things, I'm mailing all three of the copies that I told people that I'd send to them. Yay! I actually did something productive.

I'm planning on going over to jic's this weekend. I'm going to show her Children of Dune and then we're going to watch the new Queer as Folk. And since I'm posting: Hey, Jo, when should I come over? Children of Dune is a bit over four hours long.

I haven't posted much this week at all. I kept getting caught up in other things. Like, say, rewatching and dubbing Children of Dune.

Also, my brother's here this week. He's leaving this weekend. Haven't actually spent all that much time with him, sadly. I probably won't see him again 'til Christmas.

I actually had first seen Dune when I was about 10, but it hadn't made much of an effect on me.

Then the Childern of Dune miniseries came out, and I love it. The whole thing was done perfectly, and really sucked me into the story in the way not many things do.

Right now, I'm reading 'God Emperor of Dune', and I'm amazed by the sheer greatness of the work.

And I'm totally with you on the sad lack of Gahni/Leto. I'm trying to think of a good plot at the moment, but nothing seems to work. But, if you find anything, or write anything for that matter, send?

Actually, have you seen any stories at all, of any kind?

I haven't found anything. There are a few (really bad) Dune fanfics at fanfiction.net but even they don't have any Leto/Ghani, however awful. It's really very tragic.

And I have the same problem as you. I want to write something about them, but the 'something' remains elusive.

I'm thinking to leave about 12:30. So, noonish, for good measure? I have no idea what admission costs, but my kids get in free, so it's worth it.
