I went with my dad to see it and then we had dinner at this great place called Bugatti's.

I really focused on Commodore Norrington (Jack Davenport! Squee!) this time around and I was very pleased by his character. He gets to grow, too. And he was great at the end, especially since they could have made him the evil fiance type (think Titanic). Instead, he did care for Elizabeth and he cared very much for doing the right thing. And the second that he knew Elizabeth didn't love him, he publically supported her in her choice.

The beginning is just wonderfully haunting. That girl who played Little Elizabeth was great. I really enjoyed her. And Kiera was brilliant as the adult Elizabeth. All of the actors in this movie were wonderfully expressive (like how you could immediately tell that Will had made the sword in the beginning just by Orlando's reactions).

Elizabeth and Will are the 'straight' characters - the ones that don't get to be over-the-top. Unlike the amazingly over-the-top Depp as Jack Sparrow. The best part, of course, is that everyone treats him as though he were an actual person who acted like that. One of my favorite bits was Will mimicking Jack's mannerisms.

And such a funny and exciting movie (once again, the audience applauded at the end, but to my joy, there was also applause at the Will/Elizabeth kiss - honestly, I have the urge to find a picture of that and have it as an icon... because of the pretty).

There's so much to love about this movie. And this is, I believe, the first time that threesome possibilities in a movie occurred to me before someone else pointed them out. They gave all three of them the chance to bond. The Jack/Elizabeth stuff is wonderful ('the company's better this time'), the Jack/Will stuff was very enjoyably slashy, and Will/Elizabeth makes me do the happy ending sigh thing.

hmmmm

I would love you forever and ever if you would slash the Jack and Will.

I am cursed with the love of slash and the inability to write it :(

It will happen. It's just that Elizabeth will probably be there, too (as I am so in love with her character).

The slash is fun.

Oooh, I would give my firstborn to see decently written Will/Jack/Elizabeth.

good to know you liked the movie just as much the second time through. I need to find time/money to go again myself.

*cough*

I've actually started some. And posted the first bit, which starts directly after the movie and is only Will/Elizabeth with implied Jackness at the moment.

Oh good, I thought I was the only one who liked Will/Elizabeth! I agree with everything you have here.
