butterfly: (Tell Lies - Harry Potter (by marysiak))

Had a really fucked up dream last night. I had a sister, who had kids, who had died, and she was blaming it on me because they died trying to be quiet after she told them to be good until I got there to visit. She spent the dream trying to convince me that this was my fault.

Fucked up dream, yo. I have neither sister nor kids of sister.

I'm going off with my dad to see the new Harry Potter today, about which I have heard many things.

I've found The Sims again, which is bad, as it threatens to eat my life.

Query -- Are there still people on my friendslist who both a) lack watchage of the Angel season finale and b) are unspoiled as to the main event of that episode? I'm horrible at remember time, and I know that at least one person asked me to wait on posting any spoilers outside lj-cut.

Just wait until after Tuesday night GMT? Slow connections in the British Isles will thank you.

That is an odd dream...'course, there is a theory that everything in a person's dream is representative of oneself: the sister is you, the kids are you, and (natch) you are you. But it sounds like you're trying to forget it. :-)

It was very odd. I was guilty and pissed at being made to feel guilty and devastated over these kids' death. Very odd.

That would be an ineresting dream to analyze. Sometimes I have dreams that are just bizarre and make no sense yet I wake up understanding what they are trying to tell me.

I don't know what sister represents in dreamland. I also am not convinced that everything is the same symbol for everyone.

I'm sure of it -- each of us have distinct subconsciousnesses (that's so not a word) and though there are probably many points of intersection, there are also just as many points of individuality, I would think.

I'm OK for Angel finale - scared of spoilers so I downloaded from Radio Buffy!
Thanks.
I think Freud is right about dreams being wish fulfillment - usually repressed wishes. If its a bad dream, like yours, it can be a wish for punishment, or else the things/people in the dream can represent other stuff - sometimes the connection between the thing and what it represents can be as tenuous as having a similar-sounding name. Probably only you, or someone who knows you quite well, would be able to analyse what your brain is telling you. At least a bad dream makes waking up a relief! (Always look on the bright side....)

In Australia we only just got Shells, so I would appreciated if you wouldn't post spoilers outside lj-cut just yet.
