Lucky One (song by Gemma Hayes; vid by [livejournal.com profile] barkley) is a Stargate vid that's from a pre-ascended Daniel's point of view. Starts with Daniel, ends with Daniel, introduces the other three in a pivotal and classic 'Daniel feels out of place' scene (when they return in Small Victories, also known as the season four premiere, also known to me as the beginning of Daniel's slide into misery and isolation). Seems like a lot of people thought this was either a Jack vid or a shifting point of view vid. I am shy and thus managed to say, like, one sentence in the entire show/panel, but I definitely didn't get that. This vid all all about Daniel comparing his (sucky) luck to that of his teammates (most especially Jack) and I thought that it was very understandable, a tight Daniel point of view (I'd actually compare it to Ordinary, another vid wherein the pov character isn't necessarily right about the objective view of their situation). Very much a vid speaking to how a bitter Daniel, who doesn't yet have the Oma year under his belt (he really did come back from that so much more centered and content with his life), probably feels sometimes. "Everyone else gets to do something that they adore, while I'm over here being torn into pieces between what I need to do and what I can do, and what I'd like to have and what I do have." Anyway, I adored it.

Lucky You (song by Deftones; vid by [livejournal.com profile] permetaform) was a vid for The Ring. Scary and creepy and really, really good. Though I really don't think that I can watch it ever again because it was that freaky. It made me want to hide under my chair. Brilliant, but I'm never seeing it again. And if I die within seven days? I know who I'm blaming.

Good Run of Bad Luck (song by Clint Black; vid by [livejournal.com profile] valarltd) was a Hitchhiker's Guide vid. Now, there's been book-reading but no movie-watching for me of HG. So I understood what was happening, yet it still made no sense.

Through Your Hands (song by John Hiatt; vid by [livejournal.com profile] gwyn_r) was a Simon-focused Firefly vid. Which I adored, because I love Firefly and Simon and River and all the rest. There isn't a person on Serenity that I don't love. And this was a very pretty vid that very nicely illustrated Simon's storyarc in the series that we saw (*sob*).

SOS (Ezekial Saw the Wheel/Science of Silence) (song by Fisk Jubilee Singers/Richard Ashcroft; vid by [livejournal.com profile] sisabet) was a Farscape vid, John&John focused. I liked it, but it really did feel like two different vids smooshed together and I really wanted to see the EStW vid. Sadly, this vid also suffered from the fact that earlier in the Con, I saw an amazing John&John vid that left me in utter agony for the guy (A & B Song). No matter how good this was, I felt kinda John&John angst'd out.

SOS was by [livejournal.com profile] sisabet, and is/will be up at headtilt.com, I'm sure. GRoBL (hee!) was by [livejournal.com profile] valarltd, and she has it up at Mudd's Video Space (http://home.ipa.net/~rsparrow).
