In random news of the 'cute' variety, apparently Ian (Damon) and Nina (Elena) and their families spent part of Christmas together (in Idaho). Aw, that's sweet.

Vampire Diaries: 1x18 - Under Control (spoilers through 2x11)

Currently working on a fic for TVD called "The Problem With Heroes" (it starts out with canonical pairings and tensions). We'll see if that goes anywhere.
