butterfly: (Always Look - Pippin)
Despite the seemingly incurable case of shyness that I came down with during the Con, I had a ton of fun. Probably few of my opinions will be deep, but they will definitely be from the heart, yo. They'll also be honest, so if I wasn't fond of a vid, I will say that, but I'll always say why.
Premiere Vids (1) )
On my flight home, I sat next to a Queer as Folk (US) fan. How do I know this? I spotted her watching it on her laptop. We actually ended up talking about it for a while and she was vaguely interested in the idea of looking up vids. I also pimped out the UK version to her and she was very much interested in seeing how it matched and where it diverged.

Very cool.

So, at some point before Friday, the power went out. This means that I did not get Stargate recorded.

I hate my VCR, my TV, and everything electrical at the moment.

And I'll just be hopping over to the Sci-Fi channel website to see if the episodes are replaying soon.

Edit: They are not. My heart crumbles to ash. On the plus side, this means that there's no point in waiting to read the episode reviews.

Still, I think that I will go watch a Season Seven episode (just finished Enemy Mine last night) to help with the pain (thanks again, [livejournal.com profile] katie_m).

I'm currently about to die over the cuteness of Daniel in Birthright.

"Who are you talking to?"
"No one."

Adorable and tough and very kind. Daniel really gets to be very mature and grown-up yet irrepressibly snarky in seasons seven and eight. You can really see how his tragedies and choices have changed him for the better. And the second-hand Jack words that we hear in Enemy Mine really ring true -- Daniel's a pain in the ass, but he's worth it (also? a slashy heh, re: the wording).
