My car went kerplooey.
Nov. 18th, 2003 07:53 pmI was on my way to visit
jic when my car died. With white smoke. On the freeway. During rush hour.
I'm sure you can all imagine how much fun that was.
So, I called my mom. Everyone should have someone they can immediately call for help in an emergency, and it's definitely my mom, in my case.
Everyone was very helpful (including the State Police, who helped me move my car further off the road, so that I could get out of the car without endangering life and limb. And the officer was pretty cute. Nice eyes. Blue. Shade-wise, like Beka from Andromeda, maybe.).
Anyway, tomorrow, I'll find out what's wrong with the car and if I can afford to fix it. If not, there is always the bus (and one of the benefits of having parents who work for Tri-Met are free bus passes).
And since my night and day of fun with jic has been postponed, I've decided to go see Love, Actually tomorrow. Hugh Grant! Alan Rickman! Hugh Grant!
And I'm very much looking forward to Angel, as always.
