And when I put this on my site, I'll obviously make it easy to skip to certain sections.

And, as always, I'd love to hear everyone else's thoughts.

And this has nothing to do with the current season of Angel, but I thought I'd mention that Darla is her most breathtakingly beautiful to me in Reunion- it's when she's recently raised, Angel's managed to throw her to the ground (amid the broken glass - there's so much broken glass around Darla in S2. Angel keeps trying to find himself in her, save himself through her, finally just lose himself in her, and the glass keeps breaking when he tries.), and it's just before she looks up at him and says, "Angel?" in that brilliant tone of confusion. She's just gorgeous there. The way she tilts her head when she's looking up. And she looks good in white.

This is probably part of the reason I didn't mind the anvil of Darla in white in Inside Out. Actually, it strikes me as fitting. She wore white into her rebirth into evil and she wore white when her son finally did something indisputably immoral. Because until the kidnapping and his assistance in the murder of the virgin, he hadn't done anything that was. He did his best to 'cling to the good' and 'lay waste to the evil'. And he knew that killing was wrong. You can see it in his face. He knows that he's crossed a line. And so he had to throw himself into the lie, because if it weren't better, then he'd betrayed everything good inside himself for nothing. No wonder he gives up after he destroys the beautiful lie. Could he have rebuilt? Could he have redeemed himself? We don't know. But we, and Angel, know how long and painful that process is. And Angel probably figured that Connor had had enough pain for any lifetime. Honestly, I would have made the same choice. He was an exhausted, hurt kid who was so incredibly lost. And it's hard to find yourself. And it hurts. And, like Angel, I just didn't want Connor to hurt any more. I wanted his pain to stop. I wanted him to be allowed to rest.

And wow, I really do go on. This is what happens when I have nothing to do the hour before the shows start. I can't read lj or boards because of potential spoilers, so I must either find something else to do or just reflect. And when I'm revved up for the show, then I pretty much can't find something else to do, because everything inside me is focusing on the Angel of it.
