I just got the trilogy on DVD. I love Back to the Future.
Obviously, all the incest and slash that I've read has warped me because Marty and his mom are so cute when they're both young. She had a crush! And it was cute! Too bad that it would have made him disappear from time and space. And that he was squicked out and all, I suppose.
Plus, Marty's girlfriend in the movie isn't as cute as his young!mom. Just saying. His mom was hot, his girlfriend less so. You know, she's actually cute in profile, just not so much in full-face shots.
All the same, it would be badandwrong of me to make a BttF icon with them.
Yep, it really was. First thing that made me search out things to read on it. The show that prompted me to find like-minded people online. All my fandom-related obsession started 6 and a half years ago with Buffy.
That's all, really. I'm still in my first fandom.
And it still has one more day 'til canon is officially complete.
Back to the Future: Part 2 has an itty-bitty Elijah Wood! He's one of the kids who got the video game working in the "Cafe 80's". The one in the lime-green cap! It's Baby!Elijah! He's such a little thing! Eee! So cute! I just want to pet him on the head and buy him ice-cream.
Itty-bitty Elijah Wood!
And dude, I can be so innocent in the ways of drag: until now, I never realized that Michael plays his own daughter.
One of the most interesting parts in the movie is seeing the different sides of Lorraine. She's a teen and mother in the first one, someone who's given up and a kickass young woman in the second one. And they're all recognizable as the same woman.
You know, this movie (Back to the Future 2) is actually pretty damn slashy. The 'love interest' is inconsequential - hell, she spends almost the whole movie knocked out. The big important events are always shared between the doc and Marty. There's a lot of emotion there. And the ending of this movie has Marty hovering over the Doc, who's fainted, and trying to shake him awake: not even a mention of Jennifer.
Seriously, I'm so curious on the backstory between these two. How did they become friends?
Hee! I love seeing the credits for this.
Marty McFly, Marty McFly Junior, Marlene McFly: all by Michael J. Fox. He did a great job.
Michael as Marlene reminds me of Brittany Murphy! I'd been wondering.
Anyway, I'll probably settle down with one or the other, eventually, but for right now, I really like both the icon I'm using for this post and this one:
Both of them are Michael J. Fox as Marlene in Back to the Future: Part 2.
