Personal: Christmas Weekend

This past day I had a truly horrible headache. Migraine, I would guess, as it was accompanied by intense nausea (I had to call in sick to work, which I really hate doing). Not fun.

Saturday and Sunday were good. Mostly good. My mom got me the BtVS Chosen Collection as I'd requested. I spent half the night playing with the box (you pull the top off, then the front falls down -- it's great fun and I adore the design, as it takes up so little room). I do need to arrange either the selling or giving away of my set of dvds now. I'll probably attempt to sell them first, on ebay or some such. The gifts that I gave seemed appreciated, which was nice. I always worry so, but my grandma said that I'd seemed to have found a knack for picking appropriate gifts.

I saw Narnia on Saturday and I was very pleased with it. My cousin was surprised to find out that the story is a Christian allegory. But he's not at all religious (now that he's attended a Christmas Eve service, plus having observed Ramadan when he was back in Turkey with his girlfriend, he says that he's so totally going to heaven, though), so that's not all that shocking.

Spent half of Sunday with my dad, his wife, and her family, and then the other half with mom's family. Both went as well as could be expected and better than I did expect.

Perhaps the headache came from the release of the tension of fear that I've been holding through these holidays. New Year's holds no fears for me, not the way the Christmas does. Another one behind us, with no bad news following in its wake. A good day.

Thank you! I'm really glad that you think the book looks neat. The earrings are very pretty and my mom adores the necklace (it actually went with the outfit that she was wearing, so she switched out and wore it the rest of the night).

I probably will offer to my flist first, because it's much nicer for fannish things to go to people that you know are fannish. A random ebay person might not take care of them.
