SPN 11x02 - Summing Up the Current Situation

Okay, to sum up the state of affairs:

 

a) Heaven – hates Cas. probably hates the Winchesters. has alarms going off that are freaking them out because they don’t know what they mean. super-pissed off about Cas letting Metatron out and will probably still be looking for both of them. the only angel who was even slightly Cas-sympathetic is dead.

b) Hell – currently in possession of Amara and feeding her souls. Lucifer and/or Michael are freaking out in the Cage. the demons may still be questioning Crowley’s priorities. Rowena may be pissed off at Crowley or she may have deliberately brought out his evil side again and be pleased. 

c) Reapers – as a result of Dean killing Death, have decided as a group that the next time either Winchester dies, their soul gets tossed into ‘the Empty’, from which apparently nothing returns. they are not actively trying to hurt the Winchesters but they are not amused with them the way that Death was. Billie kinda hopes she gets to be the Reaper who tosses their souls away.

d) Rowena – on the run with the BotD and Nadya’s Codex. We know she’s appearing in next week’s episode, so we’ll learn more then.

e) Metatron – on the run. no grace. has the demon tablet.

f) Amara – currently hanging out with Crowley & Hell. hungry. attached/bound to Dean in ways still undefined. May or may not be the Darkness; currently everyone on the show is running with the impression that she is.

g) the Darkness – may or may not be Amara. the black smoke caused people to become rabid and then die; was cured by application of holy fire.

h) Cas – back with the Winchesters. no more allies in Heaven. still under Rowena’s spell, though I’m guessing that’ll get cleared up next week.

i) the Winchesters – have discovered that Amara eats souls. have discovered that holy fire (holy oil set on fire) will eat up the black-vein rabid disease that was possibly caused by the dark cloud of smoke. currently have Cas & will likely attempt to find a way to cure him of Rowena’s spell. will attempt to figure out how to deal with the Darkness. out of all the powers in the universe (except Cas, obviously, who is part of their team), Hell is possibly the one currently friendliest to them, but it’s very doubtful Hell will share any of their Darkness info with the Winchesters at the present time. Sam Winchester may or may not be getting visions from God. Dean shared a vision with the Darkness and/or Amara when the smoke swept over their car.

Are there any other powers currently at large? I think that’s everyone we know about.
