I was rewatching and noticed that STEFAN IS LURKING OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM WHEN CONNOR TALKS TO JEREMY. Did not pick that up the first time around. And yet, in his next scene, he's telling Elena and Caroline that they should all skip the rest of the day. He doesn't tell her that her brother has been placed in direct danger.
Anyway, Jeremy does spot Stefan and knows he's there, which is good, but seriously, wow, it frustrates me that Elena gets annoyed at Damon for 'bringing Jeremy into this' when Stefan also knows that Jeremy's getting involved and gets to look innocent because, unlike Damon, he doesn't actually tell Elena what's happening. And then Stefan does absolutely nothing to try to fix the problem, instead running off to play hooky with Elena.
Damon and Stefan do many of the same kinds of things, except that Stefan has managed to construct this facade of innocence that appears to still be fooling nearly everyone.

This is starting to feel to me like certain people never figuring out about Clark on Smallville. I am getting really tired of it, and it's damaging my enjoyment of the show. I just want someone other than Damon to call him on stuff, is that so much to ask?

Date: 2012-11-01 08:12 pm (UTC)(But seriously, I already didn't like Stefan/Elena, and then at the end of S3/start of S4 he started being abusive, making all of what she's going through about him, positioning himself as her sole saviour, and trying to cut off the rest of her support system. Really, Stefan? You're going to get mad at her because she talked to someone who isn't you about her problems? Wow.)

And the way that he's convinced her that he cares so deeply about her choices when most of his actions contradict that. He's just managed to deceive her and entrap her very efficiently.
He's been doing it since the very moment they met, but as more and more of the truth came out about him, he's had to get creative so that she'll still see him as her hero and the Good One.
Really, Stefan? You're going to get mad at her because she talked to someone who isn't you about her problems? Wow.
Oh, goodness, yes. Especially when earlier, she tried to bring her concerns up to Stefan and he trivialized her pain and confusion and basically told her to suck it up and deal. So, he's not going to help her, but he's going to get angry if she goes to other people for help.
