Elementary: Pilot

butterflySo, the pilot for the show is going around, in the way that things do on the internet. I checked it out and really enjoyed it. Lucy is fantastic. Sharp, weary, but then meets Holmes and is thrown off by him at first, but drawn in by the way he thinks. It doesn't fall into the potential trap of making either Watson or the police incompetent for the sake of showing how brilliant Holmes is.
Favorite scenes:
Holmes telling Watson that he thinks she has promise as an investigator.
Watson calling Holmes out on losing his temper and not buying his "I was doing it on purpose so that she would confide in you" BS.
The baseball game convo at the end.
The conversations about why Watson is a sober companion and not a doctor actually worked well for me.
