I noticed an interesting tension/contradiction in something that Rebekah said.
a) she says that Elijah's defining character trait is being 'moral'
b) she says that no one in her family can be trusted
Both Elijah and Klaus used careful sentence construction in S2 in order to be able to technically keep their word while still being able to do what they wanted (Elijah worded things so that he was still able to kill Trevor and Klaus worded things so that he could still dagger Elijah). Basically, they seem to have exactly the same relationship to keeping their word. So, why does Elijah get summed up as 'moral'? (obviously, being moral is not all about keeping your word, but it's a highly visible example of personal integrity and Elijah and Klaus are dead even on it)
I definitely need to rewatch Klaus. I think it would be illuminating, after everything that Rebekah's said.
