Vampire Diaries: a S3 to-do list

butterflyWhat I feel like needs to happen in S3:
1. Saving Stefan.
Of course. That's priority number one, recovering Stefan from Klaus and then saving him from his tumble back into blood addiction.
2. Stefan deals with his issues.
The natural follow-up to saving Stefan. Hopefully, all this is going to mean the end of Stefan's denial and to him actually dealing with his issues instead of just shoving them into a corner to deal with later/never. Perhaps Caroline will play something of a helper Lexi-ish role? Though I expect Damon and Elena to be the primary players.
3. Caroline-Tyler gets romantic on both sides.
Matt has removed himself from the picture for the moment. Hopefully, S3 will have a lot of growth when it comes to the Caroline/Tyler relationship. There was naked cuddling!
4. Liz-Carol have interesting confrontations.
We've had a couple of good clashes from them and I'm looking forward to more. It's awesome that the show has these two strong adult women in positions of power.
5. Damon-Elena grow closer.
I do not expect them to 'hook up' next season, though if they do, Damon's gotten to a point where it would not be insane for Elena to do so. I do expect their friendship/relationship to strengthen. I expect them both to be very focused on saving and helping Stefan for as long as that's necessary.
6. Holy, shit, ghosts!
I have no clue about what's going to happen with the ghosts. But the witches were angry with Bonnie for meddling in nature and 'the balance', so it's not going to be happy and shiny.
7. Elijah's return.
At some point. Along with a lot of his Original relatives, I expect. (maybe freeing them is tied into how Stefan is removed from being with Klaus)
8. Alaric is totally moving in with the Gilberts.
Just saying. It's going to happen.

Some answers about WHY witches hate Damon so much. Seriously. He killed Bree. That's horrible, but ONE. DEATH? That we know of.
I too want lots of Tyler and Caroline. Maybe some version of Liz being all 'and what about my family isn't good enough for your SON?' argument. With both sides knowing about the supernatural angle. There lies hilarity.
I want more Alaric and Damon - possibly Alaric realizing that he is helping raise these kids - who aren't so much KIDS anymore, but that his only adult friend...is Damon. *cue drunken roadtrip* Perhaps they take one once Stefan is stable.
Damon: 'Ric and I just need to get away for a couple of days.'
Elena: *blinks*
Jeremy: Is that another way of saying you're going to get laid? Because you both could use it.
Stefan: *throws a pillow at Jeremy* I don't need to hear that.
Damon: *raises voice* Hey, Ric, you wanna go have sex?
Alaric: .....*stares at Damon and then grabs him by the arm and drags him out of the room* SO WE'LL BE GOING NOW.
Damon: *smirks* That would be a yes.
Jeremy: It's nice when the family get along.
Elena: *facepalms* Not, now, Jer'.
Stefan: And now I need so much therapy.
