I do plan to rewatch the episode when I get home from school today, because I'm sure that I missed things because of watching it right in the morning after only getting four hours of sleep. And the first scene did piss me off a lot and I suspect that carried through for the entirety of the Stefan and/or Elena scenes for the rest of the episode. Rewatching it while no longer in the first flush of being absolutely pissed off will probably also help.

ETA: Apparently the big emotional S/E scene is a Take That at Twilight? So maybe I'm missing something in that scene by never having read those books.
