Vampire Diaries: 2x18 - The Last Dance
Apr. 14th, 2011 08:25 pmEeep, Klaus is very creepy. Making Katherine stab herself over and over while he's gone? Ick.
...damn. Caroline is apparently the one person in the series who actually means everything when she says that she'll tell someone 'everything'. Love you, Caro, but... damn. This isn't going to end well.
Ha! This classroom scene. Klaus as Alaric is hilarious and Elena slipping up and treating him like her equal rather than her teacher was great.
Ouch - this version of Matt/Caroline, where they're both forcing themselves to go through the motions, is really pretty painful to watch.
Aaah. Well, now we see why Klaus wanted to possess Alaric. He doesn't need an invitation if he's in the body of a human, apparently.
Why do I suspect that it's Stefan himself who kept all those old clothes and not his various relatives? He just seems the packrat type, I guess.
Awwww. That Damon/Elena moment was so adorable. Very cute.
The whole section with Bonnie and Klaus and the plan was so intense. I was sure that they wouldn't kill Bonnie off, but that certainty was wavering a bit. Good plan, Damon and Bonnie. Eeeep.
Ah, Damon actually informing Stefan of how incredibly non-useful Stefan's been this season. That felt a little meta to me, the show finally getting to point out something that has become screamingly apparent over the course of the season. Damon is willing to make hard life-and-death choices, so much so that the rest of the characters rely on him for it while holding it against him at the same time.
The skype conversation between Bonnie and Elena was so cute.
Oh, that Damon/Elena scene. *shivers*
"I will always choose you."
And Elena had to take a moment to let that sink in before she can acknowledge it.
I feel like comparing Damon to Wesley again. Some people love in an... almost scarily intense way, is all I'm saying.
Ha! And Elena has her own secret trick up her sleeve. Next week, Elijah again! I'm sorry, Elena, you were saying something about people having hidden plans?

He understands that the pack is being threatened and this is war - all of that is clear, but everyone should at least be able to say 'the following people are our scariest pack members...we will stay out of their way. Instead of judging them when nobody else can do what they do because of their morals or the fear of collateral damage.
That is one thing that Bonnie and Damon definitely have in common and it's ground they are okay with sharing. Sneaking around and being badass: a way to bring two people closer! (Hey, it worked for Alaric and Damon too).

It's like they don't think it weighs as much for him as it would for them. Now, that's an illusion that Damon fosters, because he doesn't want to look weak - he wants to be able to handle everything. But it's also obviously something that gets to him sometimes, too - hence everything with Andie.
