On further reflection, I'm going to give Damon credit for a good hiding place for the moonstone, or at least relatively good. It's true that Katherine didn't actually think of it as a hiding place and really only hit on it almost by accident.
So, Matt. I've been 'meh' on his romantic relationship with Caroline for a while but I really cannot get mad at him for his reaction to finding out that Caroline is a vampire. His sister was killed by vampires (and I love that Vicki and her death still matters and has consequences - much as I do love Joss Whedon, wow, Willow and Xander seemed willing to forget about Jesse pretty quickly). So, I love that her death continues to matter and I'm tentatively thrilled about the Matt/Liz team-up. I don't want Caroline or anyone else on Team Elena to get hurt, but I think that Matt's reaction is understandable. I can blame him for being a jerk to an awesome girl. I can't blame him for being devastated and heartbroken over finding out more of the truth about Vicki's death.
I do wonder how much 'everything' Caroline told Matt - did she reveal Stefan and Damon to him?
The Alaric-possession/reveal that Isobel had been under compulsion is a beautiful plot twist. I really hope that it doesn't end in Alaric's death, but I'm so glad that he's getting something plot-heavy to do.
I continue to be amused by how hot Jeremy thinks powerful women are. Good for you, kid. Jeremy/Bonnie is sweet. Bonnie's massive power-up is a nice ace in the hole for Team Elena and Bonnie seems to have joined the spirit of truce with Damon, which is good. They're on the same side when it comes to this fight and it's good for them to have mutual respect as two of the strongest members of the team.

Date: 2011-04-08 05:42 pm (UTC)While I am upset about Matt spilling the beans, it makes SENSE. *sighs* Hopefully Liz is not clued in about the Salvatores too, because that will come back at the WORST time, knowing this show.
As you note, it's worrisome that Alaric is possesed by Klaus - and without a ring, but it's good he has PLOT, again.
And yes - Bonnie and Damon on the same side is AWESOME. They are the strongest members of the pack, and are also the most pragmatic ones - looking at the big picture instead of 'what is going to hurt your FEEEEEELINGS,' which makes them well suited in plans as well. They GET what the consequences may be, which is a good place for them to be.

Yeah. But we might not find out for a while, because it looks like Matt & Liz are keeping their new information/realizations under their hats until they've figured out what they need to do.

Very good place!
