Doctor Who: Casting spoilers

Servilia (or, rather, Lindsay Duncan, who played the character in Rome) is going guest-starring in the special airing after the Easter one.

So, we have Nimueh (looking very Gwen in her outfit) next and then after her we have Servilia (and LD is such a terrific actor and just blew me away in Rome). Apparently LD is playing the Doctor's 'cleverest and most strong-minded' companion yet. Which is an interesting character description and it makes me quite eager to get to know her, considering how clever and strong-minded the rest of our companions have been.

Oh she was beyond fabulous in Rone Such a truly incredible show. Lindsay Duncan (yay for knowing her name now)made me actually root for Servilla, and she did truly horrendous things. That is what layered characters can do. I miss Rome. I don't think I have of Nimeuh or a casting spoiler about a special featuring her. can you fill me in?

Michelle Ryan (Nimueh in Merlin, or if you've not been watching that, Jaime Sommers in the recent Bionic Woman remake) is playing the companion in the Easter Special (Planet of the Dead). If you want more spoiler details than that (which would consist of the character's name), let me know.

The character's name is Lady Christina de Souza, and is described as "mysterious." There are piccies of them on set and on location available at the official site or at D-T.com.

Well, that should be interesting. Must just be a one-shot companion, however, unless they're going for a very different dynamic with Eleven and his people. She's old enough to be his mommy.

I suspect that she'll just be for the one special. She's great, though -- I think she has the best ice-cold stare of death that I've ever seen (hopefully, she won't need to use it on the Doctor!).

I'm tentatively looking forward to "Planet of the Dead," because I do like Michelle Ryan, but I'm also worried because she's, uhm, really hot and, erm, walking around in skintight black leather, that they'll be some sorta romantic tinge between her and the Doctor and I just don't want to deal with that. I really, really, really don't, Rusty. Pretty please.
