Notes

I was actually sent this song back in November '07. I listened to it, loved the beat and the sound of the singers' voices, but thought that it was just a little too co-dependent for my Doctor and Rose.

Then, you know, "Turn Left" aired. And we learned that, if not for Donna, the Doctor would have let himself die. I blinked and then relistened to the "No Air" (and, by this time, I'd acquired more Jordin Sparks songs and really gotten to like her style even more). This time around, it fit. I played around with the song a bit and then realised that in order for it to work, the Doctor and Rose had to be 'on-screen' at the same time and yet separate. Split screens were a necessity. This led to much internal flailing of the 'will it be taken seriously if it has split screens?' variety. Which, obviously, I got over.

Oh, this was gorgeous. I was so excited when I saw your post, because I LOVE your vids, especially the songs you choose (and I'd actually heard this song and liked it, I like Jordin Sparks), and this was no exception. I think the split screen really worked well, especially quite near the end where one side of the screen goes dark so the viewer can focus on one character at a time. Awesome job. :-D

Thank you so much!

I'm so glad that the split screens worked for you. I was quite nervous about those to start off with (though recently, more split screen stuff has been popping up -- I think it's coming back into style).
