Thoughts on my vids for this year:
Doctor Who remains my biggest vidding inspiration. This year, I did two Tenth Doctor character studies in addition to the Doctor/Rose vid (though, it should be noted that both Ten vids do contain key D/R scenes -- D/R just isn't the focus of the vids). Did a couple of movie vids, both focused on gay couples. My big hit of the year is "Affirmation", which received four pages of comments. Kinda bowled over and thrilled about that, still.
My own favorite vid from this year is "Come What May". Rose was the character that I fell in love with first in Doctor Who and having her get a happy ending was something that I wasn't certain would happen (especially considering the continuing nature of the show). I loved the show's resolution to her plotline and I really loved everything that I did with the song, as well. I did extensive audio editing and I'm proud of how seamless it all sounds to my own ears. This show has made me feel so much and I'm incredibly grateful to RTD for bringing Who back and making it a much deeper and more emotionally honest show.
I feel like I'm continuing to learn and grow as a vidder, which is the most important thing to me.
