butterfly: (Joy -- Martha)

Three cheers for the Doctor realizing that Martha wasn't Martha because she wasn't worried about her family. Lovely.

Did I just see a familar face on the TARDIS screen before the Doctor's image popped up? *grins* That makes it seem more likely that there's something Bad Wolf-y going on, if she's appearing through the TARDIS.

Damn. I knew that they were going to kill Ross (especially after they pointed him out in the previouslys) but it was still painful.

Aw, Brigadier reference. Sweet. "Times like this," indeed.

Oh, the Doctor walking Donna through the Sontaran ship is really, really beautiful. He's being so gentle and apologetic, but absolutely unyielding because this is the planet on the line.

"Are you my mummy?" They really did have the Doctor say that. Hee! Also, another S1 reference.

The scene between real-Martha and clone-Martha was quite sweet and I liked her reclaiming of her engagement ring.

Oh, Doctor.

"I've got to give them a choice."

And then Luke... redeeming himself for being a very stupid genius.

And the TARDIS taking off before Martha can leave! Ooo, what's going on there?

ETA: "And I'm better for having been away." Yes, thank you. I was really thrilled to hear Martha say that. It counters what the Doctor said about destroying half her life.

That was one of my favorite bits.

Sorry! No lies, just lys.

That was one of my favorite bits.

The Doctor and Donna have a really beautiful thing. They make such good friends.

Yeah okay I need to stop watching BSG and sleep so I can read better.

You know, I'm not sure if I've ever seen Fake!Previouslys anywhere but on BSG. They created something entirely new (it's also entirely stupid, but I suppose that they can't win them all)!

I hope that no other show does that, unless it's like The Simpsons for lols. Because then it hurts my brain and the canon whore in me is confused. Is it canon or is it not?

I know! It makes it so disorienting. But that kinda fits with BSG anyway, I think. They really went to very odd places in S2 and S3 (they are still going to very odd places, but in a more sense-making way now).

It mostly bugged me when they shoved plot development into the previouslys instead of writing them in the show. Even more so when they could have cut 'Black Market' as it had no relevance beforehand and was never brought up again.

Oh, the horrible black hole of suckiness that was "Black Market" (That is the one with Lee's Random Dead Love Interest who made no sense and where he's been randomly seeing a hooker, right?)

Yes and it also had the nerve to be boring as well as offensive. Cut that episode and inject plot points instead and I would have been much happier.

The thing with the ring was creepy and beautiful at the same time.

And I agree about the Doctor walking Donna through the ship. I love it when he's being gentle. It's such a big part of who he is, but it gets smothered in all the other stuff too often.

He wasn't really gentle with Martha all that often. We saw less of it in S3 overall, as I recall (though I remember him being that way with the poor crazy dude in "The Shakespeare Code"). It's good to see that part of him again.

Did I just see a familiar face on the TARDIS screen before the Doctor’s image popped up? *grins*

*grins back* And there’s a very familiar name near the top of the credits. Fourth, actually—when she only appears for half a second. And they’ve already posted a clip of that scene on the site. I don’t think I’m the only one watching the Rose Tyler Show.

And then Luke… redeeming himself for being a very stupid genius.

Can we count that as another example of someone else taking responsibility for things so the Doctor doesn’t have to? ’Cause I’ve got a little list. (Also: Oh, Luke.)

I can't wait until she actually gets to say words that we can hear. I love how much of a big deal that the website is making out of her. Because she really, really is and it's so good to see her again, even for half a second.

Other people really are stepping up to the plate to save the world. Eventually, he'll catch on that he's not actually All Alone, I think.

The official BBC DW site: http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/

Immediately after both PiC and TPS aired, they put the Rose clips up on the episode guide pages. Sadly, they're only available to watch for people in the UK.

It wouldn't surprise me if it had to do with bad wolf considering how big an effect it has had on Doctor Who and Torchwood as well. It would also make sense that the TARDIS picked up the message but not the UNIT computers.

I would definitely love it if Bad Wolf was a factor in Rose's return.

I was so upset about Ross. He was very nice and competent, not to mention someone I would have liked to see turn up in future episodes. None of the other UNIT people really left an impression on me, aside from Martha of course. Poor, poor Ross. :(

I gave a little cheer when Rose appeared briefly on the screen. I think she was yelling "Doctor!" but I haven't had a chance to go back and double check. I hope they keep slipping her in here and there throughout.

Ross was completely adorable. And the Doctor really liked him!

It looked like 'Doctor' to me, too. And it would be really neat if we got another glimpse of her here and there.

Yes! It was so great. They have a really wonderful friendship.

He really, really did. He tends to get a bit rough on himself. Astrid dying didn't help any either, I'm sure.

I really loved this episode, but then again, I'm kinda in love with season 4 so far.

But... I kinda wish Martha had stepped out a couple minutes before the TARDIS took off. It's hard to explain, but for the last two, she brought the Doctor back, so she was there, so she gave us some cool moments and I loved her. But now, she is going on another adventure, simply because she was there? Her agent is awesome? (unlike Jensen's) What?

But I tend to trust my shows, so I'll wait for it. (I'm using the same philosophy to the Rose arc too. I'm not too fond of plot necromancy.)

But overall, that was a lovely ep. *loooves*

What amused me was him pointing out her smell - especially since I'd been thinking when the clone dressed in Martha's clothes that she'd probably smell of her nutrient bath and not Martha's perfume or shampoo :)
