Je vais très bien. Je ne suis pas malade.

I've had a low-grade headache for the past few days and it's finally gone. This is a wonderful relief. The second week of French class has begun and I'm still going, which is also a relief. It seems to be going well, so far.

I've just begun using http://del.icio.us/ (I'm on there as butterflydm), which is looking interesting. I often find myself going, "now, where was that interesting post/article/story?", so perhaps this will help. I plan on going through my bookmarks and such to put links up. Possibly tomorrow or Friday, when I have more time.

I continue to have a strong new interest in McKay/Sheppard fic. This is puzzling, but not in a bad way. [livejournal.com profile] monanotlisa, I would love more recs, and thank you very much for the stories that you already recommended.

In other news, my mom's back from her trip to South Africa and probably has wonderful pictures and stories, which I will force her to share with me. And... that's about it for right now.

My Atlantis recs are here:

The majority of them are McKay/Sheppard.

Merci! Very, very helpful, thank you. I'm not quite sure what tripped my fic-needing switch with them, but it has definitely been flipped.

Contente de l'entendre :-)

Hey your French lessons do sound like they're going well - it's always a delight seeing someone learning my language *g*

Merci.

The accents definitely don't come naturally to me, but I shall win against them yet.

In a lot of ways, it feels more... three-dimensional than English. One of the things our teacher told us is it's said that 60% of English is mispronounced French, and it seems like the main thing the English language did was strip the music out of the words.
