Smallville gave me my weekly dose of glee.

Martha is upsetting me a little, but... I'll get over it. Still, though, after everything that Clark said about Thanksgiving and his father, it felt so odd for her to be so pushy with Lionel accepting her invitation. But I pretty much live on Clark's side, so...

Adored all of the Lois&Oliver&Clark stuff. I was very interested by how both Lex and Clark expressed an interest in keeping the LL in their life out of the way of danger (and I loved Lois standing her ground with Clark). Clark really has gotten very attached to Lois.

The contrast between the two dinners at the end was glaring -- the coldness and the distance in the Lex/Lana Thanksgiving versus the warmth and togetherness at the Kent get-together.

I did feel like we saw concern from Clark towards Lex in this episode (as well as the now ever-present suspicion). He was so upset with Oliver when he thought Lex was dead and just looked so relieved when Lex was breathing again.

Overall -- Yay!

Onto Supernatural -- I adored The Usual Suspects. I think that I'll be lumping last week's No Exit in with Doctor Who's The Girl in the Fireplace -- fine episodes when considered in a void, but utter failures as episodes in the specific series that they're supposed to be a part of.

Seriously, No Exit was not a bad episode of television in general, but as an episode of Supernatural, it was missing one of the main ingredients -- the unique and fascinating relationship between the brothers Winchester.

An ingredient that this episode was chock-full of. I adored seeing how in synch the brothers managed to be, even when they spent a lot of the episode apart from each other. 'Matlock', both working on breaking the anagram, the trust they have for each other.

Sam is so going to kill Dean's ass if he tries to trade himself for Daddy Winchester.

*I* will find a way into my TV and kick the boy's ass myself if he tries that. :)

Hee, yes. I'm mad at Dean for even thinking about it. Daddy Winchester made a choice, saved his son, and I can't even he'd be thrilled about Dean reversing that decision.

I liked "No Exit" mostly cause I kinda like Jo. She's like a non-slayer Buffy that's not allowed to go out and play. Or something like that. But she is the best. She's a pistol. Love that in a woman.

Sadly I missed these eps. Normally have to. TV station I work for was WB but did not get rights to air CW and our cable company has no other CWs. So I have to wait for someone I work with who HAS 3 CWS to give me a tape cause she's sweet enough to tape it for me. I'm a day or two late in seeing but I still get to see.

Well, Jo does kinda remind me of Dawn, who was often a bit like Buffy, so I see the connection. I just want her to grow up a bit, I think. I do quite like Dawn, but as I recall, she had to grow on me for about a season before I really loved her. Maybe all I need with Jo is more time.

Hope you enjoy this week's episode!
