My brother's at dad's for the rest of the week. My mom is doing some... hiking thing for the rest of the day.

Meanwhile, I'm sitting here, trying to figure out why I can't write.

I can write, in the general sense of 'can' but I can't write, in the particular sense of 'can'. I've been told that I'm a really good writer.

But it's hard for me to write unless I have a need or a deadline or something. It's hard for me to choose one idea and go with it, because I always feel that I should have chosen another and that I'm wasting my time on this particular thought.

Bah.
