Vividcon! Eeep!

We're flying out on Thursday. That's this week. Eeep! I am currently in a state of excited terror. The excitement is because, Vividcon! Yay! I adored the previous two VVCs that I've been to and I'm certain that I'll enjoy this one (Vids! Supernatural get-together pre-Club Vivid! Vids! Premieres! Vids! Stargate-age post-premieres! Vids! Vids! Vids!). And the terror because I have a vid in Premieres (so much terror, man. What if the time synch is off and it looks like crap? What if I did something wrong with the encoding and it looks like crap? What if I did something wrong with the avi and it sounds like... crap?).

And then... what if everyone hates my premiering vid?

Let's say all the set-up is good and it all works and it's synched... and then it goes over like a lead balloon. Oh, dear.

*frets*

I hope that this will be easier next year, after I've already done it once.

I'm hoping that I'll go all of my stressing out before I get on the plane, so that I'll be relaxed on Saturday (though I'm sure I'll be gripping jic's hand tightly when my vid comes up on the screen).

You make the most astonishingly beautiful vids. They're amazing. I'm sure everyone will love them.

And I've read about cons where vids displayed wrong. No one minded, and everyone was very understanding. The vid was usually posted online afterwards, and people still linked to it and talked about it and squeed over it.

Everything will be fine.

Aw, thank you. That's intensely sweet of you. I'm so glad that you like my vids. I adore making them and adore the source so very much, so I'm thrilled that that passion translates properly to the vids.

Hee. A vital clue to help me in my search! I would give you a clue what to look for, but I suck massively at describing myself. Causcasian. Sometimes wears glasses, sometimes wears contacts. Brownish hair. Size 18/20.

I'll be wearing a nametag that says 'Butterfly', which is the only really distinctive thing that I can think of.

Your vids are amazing. We passed around Sunset Boulevard in chat last night, because watching it made me rewatch season 5 of Angel and after sobbing like a baby over Hole in the World I wanted my friends to suffer too, and they all were completely blown away by it, and loved it. So, if what you're showing at vidcon is even half as brilliant, you'll be a huge hit.

I say this all as a squeeing fan, not as a friend, because we really haven't met properly. *waves hi* Have fun! (And don't judge the accuracy of my feedback by my own vids, because I'm a fanfic writer, not a vidder, and my few vids scream incompetent newbie.)

I'm sure your vid will be wonderful. I never got around to commenting on "Sunset Boulevard", but I thought it was great, and of course "My Hit Song" is still one of my favorites ever. I still haven't watched all of "Into the Fire," though, because I seriously started tearing up in the first 15 seconds. I don't know how you managed to make that without losing it.

I cannot wait to see all the vids coming out of Vividcon. I can't make it, so y'all will have to enjoy it vicariously for me. ;-)

Making Into the Fire actually helped me work through a bit of my grief about Rose. As long as, you know, I don't think about the fact that there will be a season three without her. Doomsday still makes me cry.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what pops up at Vividcon, too. There were a whole lot of really great vids last year.
