Feb. 10th, 2002 09:55 pmI have a question about feedback.
Would you, as an author, rather...
a) receive simple 'I liked it' feedback
or
b) receive complex 'I liked it' feedback with all punctuation and grammar errors pointed out.
or
c) other, specify other.

Hmmm...
Date: 2002-02-10 10:13 pm (UTC)If you liked something I wrote, I'd like to know *what* caught your attention.
If you see a major grammatical/technical error, I'd like to know about it, too.
I dunno .. I guess I'd just like to know that the stuff I write is being read. So, any kind of feedback works for me.

Date: 2002-02-10 10:24 pm (UTC)I like the basic 'I like it' message with maybe a little bit of why they liked it.

Date: 2002-02-10 10:30 pm (UTC)I like getting one-line feedback, because that means people read my story. That alone makes me happy.
I like complicated feedback because I appreciate people took the time to go through it, read it carefully, and (hopefully) enjoy it. I love that.
But in the end, ANY feedback makes me a happy Colleen.

Date: 2002-02-10 10:47 pm (UTC)If the errors are spelling or obvious grammar errors, then sure! I'd love the help. I use multiple betas, but something always slips through. (Though my style of writing often purposely breaks grammar rules, and on those things I might get annoyed about "corrections"... but it's really obvious what is a mistake and what is a style choice. so. yeah. *g* )
