Doctor Who: S3 trailer spoilers

Because I don't have the episode just yet. But I have watched the minute-long trailer that we're getting to make up for having Eurovision next week!

Oh, Jack!

"Was someone kissing me?"

It was so wonderful to see Jack. My mind is full of Jack right now. I'm just going to be so utterly impatient, waiting for him to show up. And it won't be for ages. He and our tenth Doctor look really lovely running next to each other, though we didn't get any actual interaction between them. Oh! Jack grabbing onto the Doctor as they open the door to the open air space... thing. With the grabbing. That was kinda hot.

As for the Doctor...

"He's fire and ice... and rage. He's like the night and the storm in the heart of a sun."

Hot as the heart of a sun, definitely. The Doctor looked really, really hot in this preview.

Martha... well, I like that she's still wearing that jacket in the preview. I'm really fond of that jacket of hers. Looks very nice on her. She looks intensely pretty in the minimal make-up shot when "what does he need you for?" is being said. It looks like she... still trusts the Doctor, hopefully with more from his side now. I have more confirmation that I prefer her hair up to down (I also preferred Rose with the shorter S2 haircut, so I'm not with the majority in either case), as we see it both ways in the trailer.

The Doctor gets to dress up in different outfits, which is nice. Also, I'm really glad that Martha's out of the hoop earrings. It's hard to forget my wistful longing for Rose when I've got someone on-screen wearing hoop earrings (a list of things that make me think of Rose: Daleks, hoop earrings, the TARDIS, hand-holding, hugs... also, the Doctor. Really, I'm just kinda screwed all around.).

Also, blimey, Martha's pitch just goes right up there when she says, "Doctor!" That was practically a screech. Bit high for my ears. Attention-getting, though.

I saw the trailer. I'm kind of annoyed we're having to wait two weeks though, it's the first I've heard of it being postponed.

I wonder who it's going to be, I doubt if it'll be the doctor somehow though it wouldn't be the first time.

It was so wonderful to see Jack.

I read in a magazine that he was going to be in this series, I didn't realise it was so soon.

My guess is that it's going to be Martha giving him mouth to mouth, after he "dies", not realizing he'll come back on his own. And I have to say, from the lighter tone of his voice, I think we might be getting the old Jack back, at least while he's on DW. The TW Jack had gotten so dark and serious; I really missed that happy-go-lucky attitude he wore on DW. Yes, it was a cover, not unlike the Doctor's manic periods, but it was pretty darn adorable. *g*

And LOL on the hoop earrings ... I, too, keep thinking of Rose when I see them, and I want to buy a pair now. *g*

But as for the Doctor looking hot in the preview, the hotness is at its height in the final scene when he glares at the door *fans self* ... and did you notice the color of the suit? Isn't he back in the brown suit there? And looking almost not-Doctor like? Could this be a season-ending cliffhanger scene, where the Doctor might not really be the Doctor? My spidey-senses are tingling!

Probably! Especially considering the composition of the shot directly after, with Martha appearing to react to his words (though that could always be from another bit). I'm going to vote on Martha. Wouldn't object to the Doctor, though.

She is embedded in my memory! Very effective character. I really did completely fall in love with her.
