So much love, people!
Mar. 4th, 2007 06:26 pmI only got to love on two people in
musesfool's recent love meme before it ran out of space (I hear it is continuing elsewhere, which I will investigate). There was a thread about me on there, which filled me with more quiet joy than I can possibly say, especially as it's the first time I've appeared on a love meme that I've aware of. Feeling loved is a nice feeling.
And I want to share it! All you wonderful, wonderful people, I love you. I love all of the people on my flist -- I wouldn't read your journals if I didn't find you to be intelligent/interesting/lovable. And I love all the people who have me on their flists. I do! You all have me friended for various reasons -- things we have in common or something about me that you like -- and that's so flattering and wonderful. Thank you!
I love all the current television shows that I watch and all of the tragically cancelled ones. I love my strong women -- all the way from ass-kickers like Buffy and Lois Lane through brainy chicks like Amita, Fred, and Sam. I love all the fantastic brother shows that are on right now -- I'm watching Numb3rs, Supernatural, Prison Break, and now The Black Donnellys, and I am loving them all. Also, I love that I just got the first disc of the second season of Arrested Development from netflix last night. That is such a kick-ass show and I think I'm shipping Michael and Lindsay (it's not my fault -- he kissed her!).
My love is vast -- it contains multitudes. In fact, I have so much love that if you mention something (anything!) in comments, I will tell just what it is that I love about that thing. Because my love is overflowing and I must share!
Cheese?
Date: 2007-03-05 02:41 am (UTC)Yeah so...What, if anything, do you love about Cheese?
Re: Cheese?
Date: 2007-03-05 02:48 am (UTC)As for cheese... hmm. There was a period in my life (six months or a year) where the main things I ate were salami, french bread, tillamook cheese, cucumbers, and milk. Cheese is a very convenient food product, because it's ready to eat when you buy it or you can mix it with pretty much anything. Also, cheese on pizza is one of the best inventions that ever happened. Cheese is a fantastic thing!
Also! I love many things that are considered to be cheesy. Many of the bands or shows that I've liked in the past get called cheesy by those who don't like them. I don't try to deny the cheesy parts of what I love, just proudly admit that I love it anyway.

Date: 2007-03-05 02:53 am (UTC)There's always at least one post per day that makes me smile. At least one other that tugs at my heart. I care and laugh and cry because of livejournal, every single day. It's a community, filled with joy and fights and life. It's such a well-named website, because livejournal is a place where I have found so much life, where so many people are living and doing so much more than just surviving. Livejournal is where I go to... just realize how amazing and fantastic people can be.

Re: Sammy
Date: 2007-03-05 06:08 pm (UTC)I shall love on my most amazing dog. I have a dog! And he is a lap dog and a sweetheart and he licks my hand to let me know that he needs me to wake up, like he knows that I'd much prefer that to him making noise. And he radiates fun and love and he's so bouncy and wonderful and yay! Dog! I could not have gotten a more perfect one had I been allowed to lay down the specifications myself. It is in these intersections -- getting Sammy, finding livejournal, finding a friend like you -- that I most feel the power of the guiding force of love that surrounds me. It is these interactions that I feel the hand of God, helping to find all the things I need most.
And thank you.
*hugs*

Date: 2007-03-08 10:13 am (UTC)We live in times we're negativety is loved waaaay too much. So much of any fandoms, to be fair, are infected with groups of overly vocal trolls and people who just plain seem to have more interest in finding negative point scoreing debate in everything and character bashing then actually attempting to invest in any real passion in characters or making the slightest attempt to be broadminded on anything.
So people like you Butterfly stand out, because you send out such a positive message in the face of anything. Even characters you'll never be a diehard fan of, you've not just blindly condemed them at every opertuntie. You've always tried your best to see the good in even them, if it's been possible to do so from the best of your abilitie. Thats such an admirable thing in this day and age. Some people always struggle to try to be objective in anyway and have to take sides in a weirdly intense way, yet you've refused to bow to that. Even those who inevitably will never agree with you on certain things, have respect for your kind of passion as a result.
So this place is also a great safe haven from the dark side of the Internet and I can't thank you enough for that.
All hail Queen Butterfly, long may you regin!
